The industrial water chiller does not cool, and the compressor temperature is high. Let Linghao analyze the problems for you!

During the operation of the industrial chiller compressor, it is inevitable to encounter some malfunctions, such as high compressor temperature causing the industrial chiller to not cool. In the freezing water unit, the main function of the compressor is to increase gas pressure and transport gas, converting the original kinetic energy into mechanical equipment for gas energy. Why is it said that when the compressor temperature is high, the industrial freezing water machine does not cool?

1、 High temperature causes excessive exhaust temperature, leading to a decrease in condenser efficiency

There are multiple reasons for high exhaust temperature. If the cooling water flow is insufficient and the water temperature is too high for a long time, the exhaust temperature will be too high. Once the exhaust temperature of the compressor is too high, there will be problems with work efficiency. In addition, after the high-temperature gas is discharged into the condenser, the condenser cannot completely cool the refrigerant, which may result in liquid accumulation. As time goes by, the working efficiency of the condenser will correspondingly decrease. When the working efficiency of the condenser decreases, the working efficiency of the compressor will also be affected.

When the exhaust temperature is too high, the suction temperature will correspondingly increase. However, due to the high exhaust temperature of the compressor, it can be inferred that the compressor of the compressor is relatively large. This is because the suction pressure must be low during inhalation.

Solution: The cooling water in the industrial chiller water tower is used for cooling and heat exchange of the condenser, which can take away the heat generated by the compressor operation. If the cooling water flow rate and cooling ventilation capacity of the industrial freezing water unit can be guaranteed, so as to maintain the cooling water temperature within a limited range, the compressor can be cooled to a lower temperature. Directly reducing the exhaust temperature of the compressor can start by reducing the compression ratio and load of the compressor. Although reducing the compression ratio will reduce the efficiency of the compressor, it can solve the problem of high exhaust temperature of the compressor.

2、 High temperature causes abnormal suction temperature of the compressor

The suction temperature of the compressor refers to the refrigerant temperature read from the thermometer in front of the suction shut-off valve of the compressor. In order to ensure the safe operation of the compressor and prevent liquid hammer phenomenon, it is required that the suction temperature be slightly higher than the evaporation temperature, which should have a certain degree of superheat. The magnitude of superheat can be achieved by adjusting the opening degree of the expansion valve.

Avoid high or low suction temperature. Excessive suction temperature, i.e. excessive superheat, will cause an increase in the compressor exhaust temperature. If the suction temperature is too low, it indicates that the refrigerant does not evaporate completely in the evaporator, which not only reduces the heat transfer efficiency of the evaporator, but also causes the suction of wet steam and the formation of compressor liquid hammer. Under normal circumstances, the suction temperature should be 5-10 ℃ higher than the evaporation temperature. Reason for high suction temperature of industrial chiller compressor:

1. Insufficient refrigerant charge in the system. Even if the expansion valve is opened to a high value, there will be no change in the liquid supply, so that the refrigerant vapor overheats in the evaporator and causes the suction temperature to increase.

2. The opening of the expansion valve is too small. Causing insufficient circulation of refrigerant in the system, resulting in a low amount of refrigerant entering the evaporator and a high degree of superheat, resulting in a high suction temperature.

3. The expansion valve port filter screen is blocked. The insufficient liquid supply in the evaporator results in a decrease in the amount of refrigerant liquid, and a portion of the evaporator is occupied by superheated steam, resulting in an increase in suction temperature.

4. Other reasons can cause the suction temperature to be too high, such as poor insulation of the return pipeline or excessively long pipeline, which can cause the suction temperature to be too high.
